Watch Your Justifications

THE MESSAGE

Listening to some of the relevant thoughts of your mind, there is one major concern with your attitude that I want to address this time.
The issue doesn’t just lie with you though. Many other students of mediumship show traits of it in their unfoldment. I will head the message “justification”. During the preparation of that article you are to publish soon about your inspired writing, you hinted more than once in a way that appears you were attempting to justify what it is you do. Why would you need to do that?
Are you of the opinion that receiving a communication from us, using the pen, is in some way inferior than the spoken message passed on through another medium? Why do you feel the need to always be justifying what it is you are able to do? You need to value your work more.
The problem stems from the age-old issue of ego inflating. What does it matter what others believe of your work? Their opinion is theirs. You don’t own it, so why accept it.
Many mediums are the same when it comes to protecting their egos. They appear to care what their colleagues think of their mediumship, whether good, bad or indifferent.
The Divine gave each of us one important factor. That is, we are all individually unique. There are no two of us the same, even after thousands of years and billions of lives, everyone unique and no two the same. So it stands to reason, every single person is going to be different in thought, education, experience, personality and character.
I’m not alone here in often being upset when a medium declares they are not so good, or seeks the uplifting opinion of fellow students. Get over yourself and be your own individual and unique person, with your own set of strengths and weaknesses.
In this world, life is about love and compassion. We don’t have the need or desire to seek others opinions unless we feel the need for help and advice. Because we don’t critique others, there’s a knowing that nobody is critiquing us individually.
Trevor, one of your great concerns seems to be that because you’re not often in the spotlight and scrutiny of the public eye, you’re of lesser value. Look at what you’re doing instead. Helping others in a far more productive way. You’re constantly learning about your spirituality and working where it may be needed. You sit in your power more than most other mediums, and the work you do does indeed get scrutinised by others, though that is something you’re unaware of most of the time.
The medium that says “I’m not so good, but I’ll try,” is setting their self up to fail through their attitude and their thoughts and words. They would gain so much more from their mediumship by telling themselves, “I’m the best I’ve even been and getting better all the time”.
I don’t expect you to remember to do this next exercise, but if you did, you’d been surprised in your findings. One day, when you rise from sleep, make it your goal to count the amount of times in that day how and times you find yourself justifying yourself over something. Look out for phrases such as “I’m rubbish at this or that,” or “I’ve never been good with such and such”. These are all personal justifications and they are not helping you.
They drain your confidence and make you feel lesser able. You are the best you that God ever created. Think on! I look forward to reading that last line as your chosen favourite, yes?
Have a great day, whatever you’re doing.
