Speaker Works On My Standards
The Lanzarote Sessions - Series 7 Session 1
THE MESSAGE
Transcribed on 17th September 2024 @ 5:00 pm
Welcome back to the pen. That’s what we’ll refer to this exercise as from now on. You’ve been absent for some weeks, so it will need us to exercise you a little to sharpen your mind.
Over the time you’ve been writing our words, we’ve established a set of unknown rules that we both seemingly adhere to. But your recent absence has meant that we need to realign the thoughts.
As you write my words, your mind is sharpening again. It won’t take long. Let’s give it a go. Listen to my words only. Write only what I say and avoid bringing in your mind. Please stop using the eraser on that stylus. Instead, cross the mistakes out and leave them. You’re not yet masterful enough to write perfect words. Let’s sharpen your abilities once more.
You see, already you’re focusing better. Don’t forget, no eraser please. This is important.
Why do you write my words? Is it for everyone else’s benefit? Or is it for yours? Are you transcribing our words to please others that might read them someday, or are you doing it to learn and grow yourself?
My friend, I don’t mean to sound like I’m lecturing you, but I am. You’ve allowed your focus, your purpose, and direction to be determined by your desires to be approved by others in your world.
This pen is not for them, it is for you. We will make it clear when we want to talk to specific people. If others do read the words and find some benefit from them, all is good. But that is not the general intention. It is you that must find the message within the words. It is you that must grow, that must discover the answers, that must learn, and become better. You my friend. Only you.
What I am reminding you is that working with the pen is wonderful, concise, and directly one-to-one. This is how it must be until you have re sharpened your pen skills back to where they were. Have I made myself clear without upsetting you?
For the moment, I have no interest in who might read my words. I am only interested in you and your abilities. We have a good relationship, you and us. We’ve worked with you long enough to appreciate your talents for this work. But you do suffer with issues of discipline. Your focus shifts too easily and you’re like a child in a toy shop -easily distracted. We can work on those issues.
Already, you have sharpened your focus through this session. You are listening and you’ve steadied the pace of the pen more consistently. Do you know why? Because you are not predicting with your mind. you are listening to me speaking to you. Well done.
I am aware you are back in your favourite location for another period of time. You intend to discipline to the pen every day. Good. Stick to it please. Perhaps fit a few more in if you can. You’ll benefit from doing so.
Let me finish this opening session with a few words of solace for you. You seek approval from others too much. You’ve no need to. Where you are on your chosen path is what matters.
Well done. Another sharpening exercise complete. Your mind went blank after that last statement. You didn’t hear my voice because I didn’t speak. You didn’t fill the silence with your words. Excellent progress in those few moments of your time.
I’m aware of how long you’ve been with the pen and know you’re at the limits of your focus for this session. I’ve enjoyed working with you. I was told to be give tough discipline. I hope you are happy. We love working with you and the conditions needed to be worked on. Perhaps in the future don’t take such big gaps between pens!
Have a good evening. Well done. It’s great to have you back.
Goodbye.
