THE MESSAGE

Let us begin. You spent too long thinking with your own mind before starting. We gather here as a group to celebrate the success of this work so far. Your learning is coming on well. This will all set a good foundation for your future writing when together we can work with you in a deeper and more susceptible state of mind.
You will understand that some of the notes you have written on previous occasions have carried quite a sizeable amount of your own interpretation mixed with your own understanding and knowledge. This will become less so as we learn and develop a clearer focus. As you are writing now, you’re not spending too much time thinking ahead of what it is you should be writing. This is good. However, you must learn to keep writing without pausing, for when you stop writing, you allow your own mind a space to fill with its own thoughts. Tonight you are writing slower and neater as a continuous flow. This is a great improvement for you and us to work with.
Your project is such a powerful vehicle to show others interested in this work. This form of communication with us is purer and clearer than some other forms of connection. You notice how when you stop writing, the fragile connection is temporarily broken, and it takes a few of your seconds to get back into the flow.
We would like to share with you a little piece of philosophy that you will find interesting and useful.
Much of the happiness that mankind seeks can be rekindled from the naivety of not knowing and not fully understanding. Too much of the human mind is lost in wanting to know and understand how everything works.
A cat uses a cat flap without needing to know how it works. The cat just knows the flap is a means to get in and out. The mechanics matter not. The finest mediums that have ever lived on the earth have never really understood how the process of receiving messages work. They just know what to do.
Your great Gordon Higginson was such a man. He might offer a basic notion of how the connection takes place, but he didn’t have, or even care to have, a great understanding of the process. Truth is, even if we don’t fully understand how it works, we just know it works, and that is all that really matters.
You can therefore begin to understand how wanting to know everything about the process of communicating with us actually acts as an obstacle, rather than of something that helps improve the action.
Many of your mediums on earth today talk of the importance of trusting. However, some of them are not practising that in their own work. You yourself are a fine medium. But imagine how much better you would be if you stopped thinking about whether you are connected, or whether we are with you at any given moment.
Gordon HIgginson was sometimes accused of being arrogant about being right all the time. But he wasn’t being arrogant. He just knew beyond any doubt that his connection with this side was good and strong, all the time. So he was always correct, and was right not to doubt it.
My friend, we share this with you as a lesson for you to take on board, and learn from in your work. We are aware that many others are also reading these words long after you’ve transcribed them from us. So the lesson can serve to help those people too. If these mediums changed their approach to their work with their communication with us, to not just trust, but to know beyond doubt that they are connected to their spirit path and guides, their messages would be richer, deeper and more helpful to those they are working with.
Tonight you have written these words with very much less interception from your own mind. You kept the pen moving and so many of these sentences have been written blind. Can you feel the difference?
The greatest message, the greatest gift that we can share with you is in these words you’ve written tonight. Observe how through this exercise your writing has somewhat deteriorated as the words from us have been allowed to flow more freely.
There is no magic to this work, you’ve always known that. There are no hidden powers to tap into for it to happen. You’ve just got to realise that you are connected to us, and the clarity comes from not placing obstacles in your path.
It is time you stopped for now. We would rather keep you focused fully for the few moments we have than keeping you half focused for longer.
