THE MESSAGE

You are a creature of habit, aren’t you! You’re back in your usual position for this session!
I will change what I was going to share with you and instead talk about my opening sentence, being a creature of habit.
I am not going to say being so is either good or bad, nor should you. But it is worth considering the full extent of being a creature of habit.
Often people with this need will also find change more of a chore, and some will choose their comfortable ways over change. As we displayed in your last session, when we inspired you to change your habit for sitting for these sessions, you found it worked perfectly fine. If anything, and if you were to admit it, you were more comfortable in the method than the one you’ve switched back to this session.
Change is no bad thing though. When I worked in an office e on earth I can’t imagine what it would have been like to have standing tables, instead of having to sit all day, as we did. That’s an example of change that shows progress. Most changes you make are for the better.
Changing things can be difficult at first, but when these things are given a chance to prove themselves, it’s often for the good. And changing habits doesn’t have to be life-changing or radical. Simple adjustments can, and often do, make all the difference. The doubtful medium that declares they are not sure we are with them. Change the wording and they change their belief. Instead, declaring that they know we are with them in their work and that it might be their interpretation that needs adjusting. A simple change to an habit and different results can be expected.
There are hundreds and thousands of habits that people have that act like restrictions to their potential. The body and the motor systems in it like consistency because it comes with some comfort. But comfort comes with a cost, and that can include opportunities to improve, to be more efficient, to achieve more. Athletes don’t set such restrictions on their sport. Their mindset is that they can do something better, and are always looking for the small details to change, to improve.
Every medium I have ever known has had so much incredible potential within, awaiting their decisions to tap into it. This is done by stretching the boundaries, exploring the unknown, and being prepared to find a better way.
Give some thoughts to those traits and habits that you have and would consider your “creature of habits” things. Eating at a specific time. Getting up or going to bed, reading, walking, drinking, smoking, and other such daily ingredients. Work on finding better ways by challenging yourself to not always accept that something is a particular way because it is. Instead, challenge that way and ask yourself with honesty. “How can I make this better? How can I stop this negative habit and replace it?”
When you address the habit with questioning, you are on the way to changing it. Do you want to be known as the creature of habit? Really?
There you have it. Not the topic I was going to share with you, but none-the-less, inspired by you reverting to your position for these sessions! Yes, it works well for you, but mix it up now and then and discover greater clarity and connections through other methods.
This lesson today is for all that read my words, so take stock of your habits and ask yourself if they are good, or bad, for your growth.
I’ve shared this message without preparation. That might surprise you that we do prepare what we are going to share with you. Anyway, that is for another day. Enjoy yours and I’ll come back soon if I may.
Goodbye dear creature of habit!
