HOPE.

Do you know what power there is in that word? For mankind, without hope, there is nothing. Hope is in every fabric of our being. Everything we do, every thought we have, every action and reaction contains and needs hope. Hope is another word that humans have come to underestimate the true meaning of.

Hope acts upon the conscious state of being by offering direction and desire. Take any thought you have, any decision you have made, any action, and you’ll discover hope [within it] at some level.

Even as you transcribe our words you are embracing hope. You hope the words are clear to read. You hope the words are coming from us. You hope they make sense! Every being with a conscious mind stimulates it with the power of hope. Hope is not just a meaningless desire, an empty wish, a wasteful thought. Hope is everything, for without it, nothing can exist.

Hope is not something mankind can ever master or control. It’s an invisible force at work in everything. As you’re writing these words can you see your mind opening further as you’re realising the truth in our message to you tonight?

Take the hope away from someone, and you take away their life force. Their very being depends on the presence of hope.

Hope is strength, not weakness.

Hope is meaningful, not meaningless.

Hope sparks desire.

Hope is more than a word – it is a force. You can understand that?

And what is a force if not an energy? So, hope is an energy force. As we said at the beginning, it is in every atom, every fabric of your being. Never underestimate the power of hope. When one enhances hope for some desire, the energy force of hope is called to action and from that, the universal consciousness can respond.

My dear friend, when you read these words back, you’ll truly appreciate the philosophy, the message and the need for an understanding of these invisible forces that drive humans, without them realising where the ‘drive’ is coming from. Hope may only be four letters, when we read them as a word, but hope is everything – like God. If you were given the task of counting how much hope is involved with all your actions each day, you would probably lose count after the first hour!

To embrace hope is to embrace life, power, creativity, desire, and much more. What do you hope for tomorrow?

We will leave you with that message to contemplate. Hope is part of everything, and we hope you’ve enjoyed our philosophy with you.

Good evening again. You were drawn to this connection through your own enthusiastic desires this evening. Your mind knew you wanted to connect and that is wonderful for both of us.

I want to address the issues you’ve been experiencing again and perhaps some insights to help you through. You would do well to make sure to remember that because it contains the solution in the words.

Dark thoughts need the light of the Divine to banish them from the shadows. They cannot exist in the light, in the same way you cannot be depressed and laugh with intent.

Your sensitivity has always made you vulnerable to those changes of thought. We’ve mentioned before though how quickly you usually change your emotional state to a positive one.

You’ve chosen the written word as your tool for connectivity with us. This is wonderful, for it means you’re writing after you’ve listened to us. Few people really use their time to hear the voice of spirit.

Of course, I also know that you share your written works with an audience. For that reason, I don’t refer to the subject of your darker thoughts. You know what they are, as do I. Some of those dark thoughts are the result of your expectations from your readers. Their silence often hurts you. But it should not be of concern to you how others react as they do. The conversations are between us and you have chosen to share them with others. Of course, we approve of you doing so because of the opportunities it offers us as well to share our bigger messages.

Tonight you received a pleasant surprise when one of your readers send you a rather large donation for your work. This should show you how your work is being appreciated by the reader. She values your work enough to gift you for it. That, I know, has renewed your faith in what you’re doing.

We were blessed by the words you wrote regarding how much you have learnt from us since doing this writing. It is so good that you recognise the lessons we’ve shared. You must surely appreciate how strong our relationship has grown through this work. You have developed a useful portal for our communication with you through your spirit.

In those few moments between that previous sentence and this one, you tried so hard to visualise me as a person. I’m sorry I did not help you with that. I believe it would be too much of a distraction for you now. What I look like and who I am would only distract you from the power of the communication. I do not blame you for trying though! I probably would if I were where you are.

You were reminded of that film with Whoopi Goldberg called ‘Jumping Jack Flash’, where the two never met until the time was right. We’re the same. When the time is right, you’ll get more visions.

Did you feel the energy from the Olivine that you just held to your throat? It’s energy is subtle, but clear and pure. Your interest in crystals is a useful pastime. These subtle energies that radiate from the stones do make minor adjustments to the balance of your outer energies. A difference would be seen if you were to photograph the aura during holding a gemstone.

Most people lose the subtle feelings they were born with. I would suggest that the hard life takes a toll on such sensitivities. You too have lost many of yours over the years of living. Remember when you were younger and could sense the spring sunshine on your body? You were able to feel the difference between that sun and others.

The same goes for all of the senses that people were born with. Each of them gets dumbed down over time. This has made it somewhat harder for us to use your senses, because they are not as responsive as they once were. When you sit in meditation, you should choose to work on your senses during each sit.

Work on experiencing the lightest of sensations on your arms and face. Listen harder at the sounds you hear. Sense smells and odours without breathing any harder. Heightened senses are beneficial, I’m sure you know that already.

Hello and thank you for writing my words. I am delighted by this occasion.

One of the greatest gifts you could ever. That is what I will speak about this time.

As we all know, humans are individually unique. Each has their own unique pattern of shapes and sizes. These patterns are what you would call abilities. There are things that some people do with ease, while others struggle. There are a mix of such abilities present in every living being. The patterns that make that person. Some people with one set, some with another set and others with a mixture of many.

The same is true of characteristic. You could consider them as the shapes of the patterns. Those characterises are determined by the energy balance, the emotions as you call them. Everyone has a different mix. You could consider these as the colour of the patterns.

So you can see that each of us have different patterns of different sizes and shapes and of different colours. These are the essential part of being a human. The patterns making each person unique to another.

A few might want to learn what are the best patterns to have. What are the best shapes (characteristics). What are the best sizes(intensity) and the best colours (emotion states).

Guess what? There is no such option. There is no right and no wrong set of patterns. You have yours, he has his and she hers. Mine, yours, theirs’ all completely different.

So, what is the greatest gift you could ever have? Is it a pattern in particular? Or a quantity of patterns, a shape, or a colour? None of those. The gift you could ever process is the ability to be able to recognise everyone else’s patterns.

Ah but, I hear you ask, how is that even possible? Come on think! You’re a psychic, or at least your claim to be!

What abilities for that role do you possess? Is your gut instinct not one? Is your intuition not one? Is your knowing not one? Of course they are. It’s not that you’ve never associated these abilities with patterns, yet they are.

How do I recognise these patterns, I hear you ask. There in lays the secret! How are what would you consider your strongest ability, in other words your greatest skill, or more to the paint, your brightest and biggest pattern?

Is it your compassion? Your ability to love others, your need for solitude, your desire to be a better person? All of these are patterns. What patterns do you see in your closest partner? What shape and colour shines from their dominant pattern? Need I explain more?

The greatest gift, which could become your greatest asset, is to develop your ability to see, to understand and to appreciate the patterns that make up other people. Knowing them, and using it to communicate with them, is without doubt, an incredible ability.

Understand this, I talked about the patterns with a rhetorical tongue so you would have a more graphic image of how people are formed. But it is no less important. Knowing others patterns, their ingredients, their emotional states, their characteristics, with their presentational and outwards communication skills gives you the inside line on how to relate with them, how to best communicate and act around them.

I have shared with you a moralistic and philosophical message that you may choose to explore more deeply, or put on the shelf for another day. That is your pattern to choose.

I love the notion of leaving are with a mind that is trying to digest my message. It should be making you think! I have done my job this time. Let your life be a wonderfully beautiful selection of patterns!

Good day to you. Are you enjoying this stay on that paradise island? To be honest, I had no idea where is was until someone this side told me. That was many of your years ago now, and they described it to me as peaceful and spiritual. That explains why you have chosen to revisit it time over.

If I was in your phase of life I think I might have been quite envious. Not now though. This world has everything I ever wanted and in abundance. Like you though, I did yearn for peace, both in the world and within. The latter was easier to discover, though I’d rather consider it as revealing the peace within.

I’m aware that you have made many friends over those years of visiting. You enjoy their company and feel at ease with them. Your mind suggests that is because you consider them all as non- threatening and non-judgemental. Indeed, that may be so and good for you in discovering a place where your true self can shine and reveal the hidden you.

Many people are the same, though they often use alternative means to let the veil fall. Those things, such as drinks and drugs are not the solution though. Thank goodness you’ve chosen to stay well clear of them.

People spend a lot of their life seeking something don’t realise they have. Inner peace is one such mystery. When there is peace within, everything else is at peace too. But so many people don’t understand what inner peace is, not even you entirely. You find that peace you seek whenever you go where you are. But you tuck it away when you return back home. You store it away like my grandma used to do with her best silk table cloth. It only seen the light of day once in a while.

Perhaps that peace doesn’t want to be put in the cupboard until another day. Perhaps that inner peace should stay with you every day, and should not depend on the climate or the location.

Do you know, I spent much of my earth time seeking what I thought was inner peace. It was only when I learned of my disease and was told I was going to die that I realised I had found inner peace many years previous. I had been with my partner for many years. I had a wonderful family stretching several generations. I was comfortably well off and generally of good health. I had a loving and caring home and lived in a beautiful location in my country. I hadn’t the modern toys you all yearn for these days, but I wanted for nothing. If only I had known that the inner peace I thought I should find was already within me, like a stranger waiting to be recognised.

I don’t regret how I was and if I were given the opportunity to relive my life again, I wouldn’t. But if I did, and I took with me what I know about inner peace, my life would be more fulfilling for my soul, my spirit and my peace of mind.

I wasn’t going to cover anything too heavy with you today, but I was prompted to this topic by the colours in your aura. I recognise contentment which is the flag for inner peace.

I wish you the very best and hope something in my message resonates with you. Take time to appreciate that inner stranger known as inner peace.

God and all Divine is with you always.

In your ever changing world it can appear hard to learn to stand still for long enough to take stock. Here is the good news, it has always been that way and always will be. When I lived that life, there was so much change happening that I feared for my future. We had what you have come to know as the industrial revolution. That was soon topped by the discovery of electricity and ways to harness the power.

Everything was reflecting the changes. For me, born to earth in the 1830s, it was frightening and change was all around our lives. Towards the end of my life there, vehicles were invented and combustion engines were beginning to be the big thing. No, I did not view the world with excitement. And then, at the end of my stay, the world chose to have a war that affected so many countries and cost many thousands of lives.

So you might think the changes in your current world are unique to you, individually they are, but change in itself has always been there. Your world is no different in that respect than ever in the past. If anything, your world offers better security, more laws and rules, better politics and more awareness of the individual’s rights. Your voice today can be heard, listened to, and responded to according.

Those people that suggest the changes taking place are frightening are correct. Change to the unknown is scary. But it has always been that way. The one point that is important to remember is that mankind will have to make many mistakes along the way. Those mistakes are where the learning is done. Mistakes are a sign that things most certainly will get better. It’s the course of things.

This was not my thinking when I was there. I never managed to embrace change. It was always ahead of me and I never understood the reasons why these changes were needed. I never understood why candles weren’t good enough, or why having an ability to flush our messes away in the toilet would become acceptable.

Later in my life I didn’t understand why Marconi and Bell and the like were apparently doing ground-breaking things with radio waves. I didn’t appreciate the changes and just wanted to live in the past. It was when I settled in this life that I was able to look back, as if through new eyes, and appreciate how far the world had evolved in my 83 years on the planet.

I am not saying I had regrets for who I was and the way I viewed the world. That was who I was. But I am saying that when I had the good fortune of arriving here I was able to see everything from a completely new perspective. Frankly speaking, a much wiser and more rational outlook.

Your world is changing. Your world will change and you will not stop it. But that does not stop you finding the time each day to stop, to be grateful, and to be ready to take on the next challenge without fear.

I hope you’ve enjoyed my philosophical look back and forward guidance. Believe me, you would not want to live in a stagnant world where nothing advanced, nothing improved, nothing of contributive value ever occurred. Your world, our world and my world are remarkable places never to be taken for granted. Your world, my world is the best aspect of our lives together. Let change happen and go with the flow.

CORE VALUES: Thank you, that is the topic I’d like to talk with you about this day.

As you were recalling those words when I repeated them, you appeared to want to dismiss them as a topic we would not talk about. Your mind history thought that it meant something business associated. It is true that you have connected it to that, because that is how the words have become to be recognised. But this is not how I want you to associate them. I’ll explain.

Every human spirit ever born of the earth as a physical form has a unique set of genes, though I like to call them elements. These are unique to that life. In those elements are ones that relate to emotional states. The balances vary from each life form to another. It is from that balances of elements related to emotional makeup, the core values for that life are formed.

Now, here’s the interesting part: Every life, in other words every person, has core values. But they are neither all good or all bad. It is often a mix. As the person grows and becomes familiar with their world as they see it, some core values grow stronger than others and therefore influence their way of life. As I said, the core values can be good, or bad. These can change according to that person’s strongest influences, or as you now coin them, influencers! By the way, I disapprove of that terms and its real value offered by them. People should make their own minds up without need to be influenced.

One of the other interesting aspects of core values is that people rarely, if at all ever, take time to consider what their core values are. Another way to understand them is by asking the simple question,

“what do I stand for? What is important enough to me for my focus to be spent on it enough to aid my direction through this life?”

So, in the spirit of things (my little pun there!) let me give you an exercise to do. And when I refer to you, it is the you that is reading my words as I gave them to this medium. Your exercise is to spend some time defining what your core values are.

Now, here’s the rules. Do not write core values that you aspire to, there is no such thing. Nor write core values that you think sound good and impressive to others. This is about you getting to understand yourself better. Honesty is the key. Here’s your plan. Take time to consider before writing three core values you process. Don’t forget, core values are neither negative or positive at this stage. Write your three core values.

You may think you have more. Good, write them also. The minimum is three, and you’ll find that much harder than you imagine.

This exercise so far may take you many sessions to achieve. As I said earlier, most people never consider their core values. When you finally complete your list I want you to do the hardest part of this exercise. I want you to put your “honest” hat on. Remember, - fooling yourself is fooling no one other than yourself. So wear the honest hat.

Now study each of your remaining three core values with self integrity and cross the one you have that is the weakest. You have two remaining, yes? Now repeat the last part again and eliminate one of those two core values that you are weakest with. You now have your one remaining core value. This acts like the guiding light for your life ahead. It is your one core value that governs every decision you make.

If those choices, decisions and opportunities don’t align with your core value, they should not be chosen. Equally, if your future choices do align with this one core value, you will know it is right for you.

Those other eliminated core values that you have note of can still become part of you, so long as all are aligned with your main core value.

There are people who will read my words and won’t take them further. They won’t value the sentiments enough to follow through with the exercise. That is their choice. One day they might or might not. That is up to them. Those that do complete my exercise will learn about themself in the process.

Surely you can understand that understanding oneself to this level of appreciation is one of the greatest human tools we can achieve.

To conclude this talk, before my medium’s mind takes over! Let me share my core values that I lived by and to. I defined it when I was on earth and continue to live by it today. By the way, don’t just copy it as yours. I’ll leave it with you and thank you for this opportunity.

Oh yes, we are certainly ready. Like you, we’re excited to have this wonderful opportunity to share our words with your audience, and of course, you yourself. Because, always remember, it is also you that needs to learn and that is something we feel honoured to be able to do through this form of mediumship.

We’ve said in the past to you that we also benefit from this opportunity to practise our mediumship skills as well. The Divine has given all of us, your side of life and here in this phase, the ability to communicate beyond the vocal chords. And

on you spend a minute or so with that in thought, so many of us, especially you on earth, take for granted the natural ways you communicate without need of sound. Eyes. for example, tell a story and relay a feeling or expression. But without using this valuable time to discuss them all, there are so many other common ways we all communicate without sound or spoken language.

It would be a fine exercise for mediums to practise finding ways to express a message without sound. Imagine, for example, you were asked to express each of your emotions to someone else without sound. Your mind is busy thinking about that possibility? Now imagine when you are relaying a message from your connected person this side, that you relayed those expressions through your body by mirroring the vision you have of that person in your mind at that moment. Can you understand how much more your communication would be, and how much more the message would touch that person.

You see my friends, so long as your limit your abilities to the spoken word, the more you are imposing limits on your own possibilities. Yes, I feel your excitement with my message, and it is worthy of this space in my message which is being relayed without any sound or even expressions. Now that is achievable, and I hear some might wonder how that is all physically possible in your real world. It is, believe me. In the same way as you learned to walk, speak, swim, write, draw and do wondrous things from an early age. It is entirely possible for you to continue to advance your communication abilities through the tips I have shared with you this time.

Let me ask you, this medium with a pen, what color are my eyes for today? How tall or short am I making myself appear? What expressions are my face revealing? Is it one of joy, contentment, happiness and peace?

I know I did not instruct you to write the answers. It was a rhetorical exercise and your answers would serve no purpose on this occasion. But what if I was somebody’s father talking through you? What if you shared those details? What if you noticed a scar or a piece of jewelry? What if you could see my tears of delight or even heard the sound of my voice in your mind? Would that not be gold dust to

the person with you?

My dearest student friends, as a teacher once wrote on one of my school reports, “must try harder”. That is not a negative statement, unless you choose it to be. It’s a statement of direction forward.

Is that a good enough message to start this new series? And there you were thinking we’d let you down. Have faith and never let it go. We’ll be here, waiting for you to pick up the pen.

Artificial intelligence is already embedded in most of our daily tech gadgets, from Amazon Alexa, to the smartphones we all carry and use. Chat GPT has been around for a number of years and is developed enough to answer most questions we can throw at it. But, how accurately?

I use various versions of this A.I. for research purposes. Acting like a trawler’s net, it scrapes all the relevant information from the world wide web and composes it into presentable articles, complete with citations, if requested.

When I use information gathered by A.I. methods, I have learned to cross-check everything to make sure the information is accurate. For that reason, A.I. is not yet accurate enough to rely on fully. In this article, I take a rather light-hearted at some of the results one can expect from an A.I. source, and show why the results are often wrong, bias, and downright stupid!

I have posted the questions exactly as they were worded, and the answers with as little editing as possible, (for space reasons). I would advise that you take these answers with a pinch of salt!

Former World Class Water Ski Sportswoman during the 1990’s Rachel now works part of her time as a Sports, Massage Therapist but is also committed to following her passion which is Spiritual Mediumship and Healing.

Her own personal road to recovery lead her along a painful but ultimately enlightening, healing path following her devastating injuries at the 1991 world championships in Darwin, Australia.

For Rachel, embracing the religion of spiritualism, which is also a science and a philosophy has enabled her to transform, evolve and develop into who she is now, which has brought about a deeper understanding of herself, her philosophy and about others.

The Seven Principles of Spiritualism have given Rachel a foundation upon which to work out her own philosophy.

Rachel’s extraordinary perspective enables her to consider and acknowledge the mind, body and soul when administering therapy and when working with spirit. She believes that we are all aspects of a great creative force, power and its that ‘power’ that connects us all and brings to ourselves ‘life.’

Rachel has recently passed her CSNU (Certificate of The Spiritualist National Union) in speaking and demonstrating and is currently pursuing further SNU qualifications.

The spiritual aspect of self, being acknowledged and nurtured can bring about a clearer awareness of who we are and our connection to all things within creation.
